Welcome to Lyla Designs, LLC. Lyla is my sweet, loveable lab mix you see to the left...she was the inspiration for the name of my company. Along with that inspiration, all of my bags are named after other significant dogs in my life. My name is Carli and I am the person behind the designing, cutting, assembling and sewing the bags and other unique, custom handmade accessories.
At Lyla Designs, we use our own original designs for handbags, totes and accessories. Quality fabrics are carefully picked and purchased in small quantities. Customers choose the item and fabric they want...and then we get busy sewing. Shipping Information:
Currently, our production time is 3 - 4 weeks. Once the order is complete we will then ship the items via USPS Priority Mail. Production time does not include shipping time. All orders are processed and completed in the order in which they have been received.

$25.01 - $50.00 - $7.00
$50.01 - $150.00 - $10.00

Payment and Tax:
Currently we accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and Pay Pal for all of our transactions. Sales tax will be applied to any order(s) shipped to addresses within Pennsylvania, as required by law. Sales tax is calculated and itemized during the online ordering process. A tax surcharge of 6% of your taxable purchase total will be added. No sales tax will be applied to orders shipped to addresses in any other state, however you are expected to comply with your state's current laws regarding purchases over the internet.
Gift Certificates:
Not sure what to pick out for someone - give them a gift certificate! Currently they are only redeemable in-store. Call or email the shop if you have further questions.
Refund, Returns and Cancellation Policies:
Due to customization and the uniqueness of the handbag you create, we regret custom bags are not returnable. If you have questions before you make your purchase - please, do not hesitate to call or email and ask us.
If your handbag arrives defective in any way, we will replace it for you at no charge – but the bag must be returned within 8 days of the shipping date and must be unused and in original packaging. If you plan to return an order, please email us at lyla_designs@yahoo.com or call the shop 267.455.0438 and let us know that a package is being returned, the problem with the merchandise and when we can expect it. All "Ready to Go" items are final sales and are not eligible for return. Please note that original shipping charges are non-refundable for returned handbags and the customer is responsible for any costs associated with return shipping.

Bag Creation: Each Lyla Designs custom bag is hand cut, hand sewn and created in our Norristown, PA studio. Each bag is lined with either interfacing or fusible fleece – sometimes both – to help maintain its shape and durability. We use quality designer fabrics that have been carefully selected as well as quality hardware to maintain and meet our high standards. Most of our standing bags have 4 silver purse feet at the bottom to help protect the bag – as well as an extra sturdy bottom with plastic canvas to hold its shape and keep it durable. Upon completion of the bag – we fully inspect it to make certain that the bag meets our high standards and then we happily ship it to you!
Bag Care: Because our bags are made of a variety of different materials and fabrics we recommend using a protective spray, such as Scotch Guard. If needed, spot clean with mild soapy water and a soft cloth – or a baby wipe. To bring the bag back to its original shape lightly press with a warm iron and light steam. Best practice is to use a pressing cloth (old pillow case, towel, piece of fabric etc.) and place your bag on the end of the iron, place the pressing cloth on top of the bag and lightly press your bag. Dry Clean for an overall clean.
Fabrics Colors and Pattern Placement: While we do our best to show the true color of our fabrics, due to the different settings of each computer the colors that are represented on our website may appear slightly different in person. If you are unsure of a fabric and would like a small sample piece - feel free to send us a stamped, self-addressed envelope with your fabric request to: Lyla Designs, 705 Selma Street, Norristown, PA. While all of our fabrics have repeating patterns on them - with cutting and constructing the bags, the pattern placement may vary from each original handmade bag.
Baby Blanket Care: Wash Baby Blanket in COLD water with washing machine setting on the gentle cycle. NO Bleach. Tumble Dry Low.
